EGO Energy is and Italian energy trader and GSC and EGO Energy entered into a Power-Purchase-Agreement (PPA) for GSC’s operational Solar-PV-portfolio of 3 power plants. The PPAs are structured on a spot-price basis meaning the energy is sold on the Italian market at spot prices. Selling at spot rates has become extremely profitable due to the recent increase in energy prices by 400% compared to June 2021. With these PPAs GSC and EGO are one of the pioneers in selling energy at spot market rates in Italy.
